Meet Carina Chen

I am a freelance fashion designer based in Vancouver. I studied for my BFA in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and specialized in Special Occasion Wear.

 

As a fashion designer with 4+ years of experience, I specialize in trend forecasting, design development, technical flats sketching, BOM creation, and tech pack creation. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D CLO, WFX, and PLM, I've worked with top international companies and showcased designs at prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Vancouver Fashion Week. Alongside my design work, I'm also a part-time art instructor, committed to inspiring and nurturing each student's unique creative abilities. I'm passionate about pushing the boundaries of fashion design and fostering the next generation of creative leaders.
